HOW TO GET A SEMI-PERMANENT LIP BLUSH COLOR TATTOO
It has been a few years since cosmetic tattooing made significant progress. In contrast to the harsh lines and vibrant colors of the past, cosmetic tattooists can now create permanent and semi-permanent makeup that appears as natural as possible. Pigmentation and skin discoloration can also be treated by a cosmetic tattoo.
Lip blushing, also known as lip blush tattoos, is a relatively new makeup technique used by makeup artists and stylists to enhance certain features of the face. Both high-end salons and medical clinics offer this cosmetic tattoo service.
What does it mean to get a semi-permanent lip color tattooed?
The cosmetic tattooing of the lips, known as lip blushing, gives them a faint tint of color. There is usually a two-to-three year lifespan for lip blush tattoos. Using lip blush, you can hide scars, correct minor symmetry issues, and increase the volume of your lips by 30–40%. Two additional benefits include adding a tint of natural lip color and enhancing overall lip contour.
In addition to treating cosmetic concerns like hyperpigmentation or skin irregularities that cause people discomfort, lip bushing can also address more serious aesthetic concerns.
The experts at Brows & Lips suggest using lip blush to add color to areas of the lips that are lacking pigment as well as to lighten or darken lips that are too dark or with cool undertones. Lips appear fuller and more consistent in shape when they have the right amount of color in the areas around their mouths.
Lip blush tattoos are less pigmented than traditional tattoos, which use far higher concentrations of pigment.
Lip Blush Tattooing involves the following steps:
The process of creating a lip blush tattoo takes approximately two hours from start to finish. Numbing cream is applied at the beginning of the appointment and left on for about 20 minutes.
Before the tattooing technique begins, the shape is drawn with a bright red or pink lip liner.
To relieve clients’ discomfort, numbing cream is reapplied twice or three times over their lips using a mild shading technique.
When the treatment is completed, ointments are applied to moisturize and calm the lips.
Is it painful to have a semi-permanent lip blush color tattoo?
Lip blushes are generally rated as 2-4 on a scale of 1-10 in terms of pain; numbing merely enhances it. There isn’t even a lot of discomfort. We are able to put our patients to sleep during this procedure.
Lip blushing machines are less painful than traditional tattoo machines because they only operate on the skin’s surface.
The healing process of a semipermanent lip blush tattoo
In terms of the healing time of a lip blush tattoo, it may take anywhere between four and seven days for the tattoo to fully heal. At Brows & Lips, clients receive an aftercare package and instructions following their procedure.
As soon as the lymphatic system receives a tattoo, lymphatic fluid begins to be produced. Use the provided sterile water wipe to clean the lips five to six hours after the lip blush procedure before applying the moisturizer.
Use sterile wipes and moisturizer in the morning, and repeat the process in the evening.
Customers who have lip blush tattoos may experience minor edema after the procedure. When it comes to swelling, every consumer is different; some expand like balloons while others barely expand. Several hours later, the swelling subsides and the following day, its size returns to normal.
You should keep the area moisturized with the ointment or moisturizer provided by your aesthetician after getting a lip blush tattoo. Keep your lips moist throughout the healing process. Make sure they don’t get damaged or dry out. During the healing process, only Aquaporin, Vaseline ointment, or coconut oil should be used as a moisturizer. Lipstick and lip gloss should also be avoided while the lips are healing.
