Lip Blush in Dubai
A soft lip tattoo that brings back colour, evens out the tone and sharpens the outline — like a tinted balm that does not wear off. AED 2,000 on Al Wasl Road.
About This Service
What Is Lip Blush?
Lip blush in Dubai is a semi-permanent lip tattoo. With a PMU machine and a fine needle, the artist places a sheer layer of pigment into the lips to bring back colour, even out uneven tone and redraw a soft, clean outline. Healed, it looks like your own lips wearing a tinted balm — not like lipstick.
Many people search for it as a “lip tattoo” or “permanent lip colour”. The difference is in how much pigment goes in and how deep: lip blush is the lightest and most natural of these, and it fades evenly instead of shifting colour.
The shade is mixed for you — from rosy nude to soft berry — after we look at your natural lip colour and skin undertone. If your lips are dark or uneven, the first step may be dark lip neutralization; if you want a defined edge with a gradient, see ombre lips.

Your Appointment
Lip Blush Procedure Step by Step
The appointment is booked as a 1.5-hour slot. The colour decision takes as long as it needs.
We check your lips for cold sores, old tattoo and dark areas, and talk about how natural or visible you want the result.
The artist draws the outline with a lip pencil — correcting asymmetry where needed — and you approve it in the mirror.
The shade is mixed to your natural lip colour and skin undertone. Healed colour is softer than fresh colour, and we plan for that.
Numbing cream is applied and topped up during the procedure.
Pigment is built up in light passes with a fine needle so the colour heals even.
You leave with the balm, written instructions and a top-up date 4–6 weeks later.
Before Your Visit
How to Prepare for Your Lip Appointment
A few days of preparation make the lips bleed less and hold more colour.
Moisturise your lips every day; dry, flaky lips take pigment unevenly.
If you have ever had a cold sore, ask your doctor about an antiviral course before the appointment.
Pause fish oil, vitamin E and other blood-thinning supplements (only if your doctor agrees).
No alcohol or coffee.
No lip filler; if you plan filler, do it first and come to us once it has settled.
Come without lipstick. If you have a favourite lip shade, bring it — it helps colour matching.

Lip Blush in Action
Healing Day by Day
Lip Blush Healing Timeline
Lips heal faster than brows but change colour more dramatically on the way. This is what is normal.
Lips look bold, bright and slightly swollen. Keep them clean and use the balm we give you; drink through a straw.
Lips feel dry and start to peel. Let the flakes come off on their own — picking pulls pigment out.
Peeling ends and the colour looks much paler, sometimes almost gone. This is the milky new skin layer, not lost pigment.
Colour returns from inside the lip and warms up.
The true healed colour is visible. This is when we judge evenness and plan the top-up.
Colour stays stable; sun, smoking and exfoliating lip products decide how fast it fades.
Durability
How Long Does Lip Blush Last?
Lip blush usually lasts 1 to 3 years. Lips renew quickly and are always in contact with food, drinks and sun, so most clients refresh the colour roughly every 12–18 months.
Sun, smoking and exfoliating lip products shorten the life of a lip tattoo the most. A lip balm with SPF is the single best habit for keeping the colour.
A top-up 4–6 weeks after the first session is part of the plan, not a fix: lips almost never hold pigment perfectly evenly the first time, and the second pass is where the colour becomes uniform.
Living in Dubai
Lip Blush Under the Dubai Sun
Lips have no protection of their own against UV, and in Dubai the sun is strong all year. Without SPF, lip blush fades faster and can turn warmer over time.
Air conditioning dries lips out, and dry lips both heal worse and lose colour faster. Keep a balm with SPF in your bag and use it more often than you think you need to.
Planning a trip? Book lip blush at least 2 weeks before a beach holiday — sea water, chlorine and sun are all off-limits while the lips heal.
Maintain Your Lips
Lip Blush Aftercare
Most of the healed result is decided in the first 10 days.
Keep the lips moist with the aftercare balm for the first days; never let them crack.
Avoid kissing, hot drinks and spicy or salty food for the first 48 hours.
No peeling, biting or scrubbing; let the skin come off naturally.
No lipstick, gloss or other balms apart from the one we give you until the lips have healed.
No direct sun, swimming, sauna or steam for 2 weeks; then use a lip SPF outdoors.
Use a straw for the first days and rinse the lips gently with clean water after meals.
Safety First
Contraindications: When We Postpone
Lips are a sensitive area. If any of these apply, tell us when you book.
Not during an outbreak — wait until it has fully healed (2+ weeks). If you get cold sores, take an antiviral course before the appointment as your doctor prescribes.
We postpone lip tattooing until after nursing.
Wait at least 4 weeks after filler so the shape settles.
Stop and wait 6 months before lip tattooing.
Not while there is an active flare.
Uncontrolled diabetes or clotting disorders need a doctor’s note first.

Which Is Which?
Lip Blush vs Lip Tattoo vs Permanent Lip Color
"Lip blush", "lip tattoo", and "permanent lip colour" are often used interchangeably online — but they describe different depths, finishes, and lifetimes. Here's how they compare at Brows & Lips.
Soft, sheer wash of pigment deposited in the upper dermal layer. Designed to look like a tinted balm — never opaque.
- Depth: upper dermis (shallow)
- Finish: soft, diffused, natural
- Lifetime: 1–3 years
- Best for: everyday wear, all skin tones
- Fade pattern: even, predictable
Heavier, fully saturated lip liner or fully filled lip colour, often with a defined outline. Looks like permanent lipstick.
- Depth: mid-to-deep dermis
- Finish: opaque, saturated, bold
- Lifetime: 3–5+ years
- Best for: bold statements, statement liner
- Fade pattern: uneven, can shift to grey/blue
A hybrid technique used to mimic lip filler without injectables — adds structure, evens tone, and creates volume illusion.
- Depth: mid-dermis, layered
- Finish: defined border, natural centre
- Lifetime: 2–4 years
- Best for: thin or asymmetric lips
- Fade pattern: even with maintenance
All three finishes are available at Brows & Lips. Classic lip blush is the most popular because it suits the widest range of skin tones, fades predictably under the UAE sun, and refreshes cleanly without colour shifts. Ombre and 3D layered techniques are recommended when your lips need extra structure, definition, or correction — your artist will talk you through which fits during the colour-match step.

Choose Your Finish
Types of Lip Blush Tattoo We Offer
Brows & Lips offers three lip blush techniques. Each one creates a different finish — from a barely-there natural flush to a defined, fuller-looking lip. Your artist will recommend the right one during the colour-match step.
Classic Lip Blush
A soft, diffused wash of pigment that mimics a sheer tinted balm — natural and barely-there. Best for naturally pink or pale lips and clients who want a "your lips but better" result. Lasts 1–2 years, refreshes cleanly.
Ombre Lip Blush
A gradient technique that's darker around the edges and lighter in the centre. Creates the illusion of fuller, more voluminous lips without filler. Perfect for clients who want a defined, statement finish.
Dark Lip Neutralization
A corrective technique that neutralises dark or uneven pigmentation and rebuilds the lips with a fresh, natural base colour. Designed for darker-toned lips, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, or any client whose natural lip colour has shifted over time.

Lip Blush FAQ
Lip blush at Brows & Lips costs AED 2,000. A top-up 1–4 months later is AED 500; later top-ups are AED 700–1,000.
Lip blush is a type of lip tattoo — the softest one. It uses a sheer layer of colour, so it looks like tinted lips rather than lipstick.
Usually 1–3 years; most clients refresh every 12–18 months.
Numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure. Most clients describe vibration and light pressure.
Bright and slightly swollen for 2–3 days, peeling around days 4–7, then pale for a few days. The true colour shows at 4–6 weeks.
Light unevenness — yes. Clearly dark or smoker’s lips first need neutralization (AED 2,500), then lip blush adds the shade you want.
Yes, once the lips have healed (about 2–3 weeks). Many clients find they need lipstick far less.
Filler adds volume; lip blush adds colour and definition. They can be combined — do the filler first and wait 4 weeks.
