What Is Areola Restoration?
Areola restoration in Dubai is a paramedical tattoo that recreates the colour and shape of the areola with pigment. It is chosen after mastectomy and breast reconstruction, after breast reduction or lift surgery that left the areola pale, scarred or uneven, and by people whose areolas differ in size or colour.
The aim is a natural-looking areola: the right size for the breast, a colour that matches the other side or suits your skin tone, and shading that gives a three-dimensional effect on flat, reconstructed skin. We work with several tones, because a real areola is never a single flat colour.
This is a personal procedure, and we treat it that way: a private consultation, time to talk about what you want, and no rush. Reconstructed and scarred skin behaves differently from untreated skin, so we always explain what can be expected — and what cannot — before the first session.
Colour is the hardest part. Areola tones differ a lot from person to person and from one side to the other, and healed pigment always looks a little softer than on the day. We mix a shade for your skin, test it, and build colour gradually over two sessions instead of trying to get everything in one go.
Some clients need only colour — an areola that faded or became uneven after surgery. Others need the whole areola recreated on reconstructed skin. Both are done with the same care, but the second usually takes more than one session to look right.

The appointment is booked as a 1-hour slot in a private room.
We talk through your history, look at the skin and agree on size, position and colour.
The shape is drawn on and checked standing up, so the position looks right with clothes on and off.
Two or more tones are mixed to match the other areola or suit your skin.
Numbing is applied where there is sensation.
Colour is built up in layers, darker at the edge and with shading for depth.

How Long Does Areola Restoration Last?
Areola pigmentation usually lasts several years, softening gradually. Reconstructed and scarred skin can hold pigment differently from untreated skin, which is why we plan a top-up and sometimes more than one session.
The area is rarely exposed to sun, which helps the colour last. Keeping it out of strong sun in the first weeks is still important.
A top-up starts from AED 1,000.
Reconstructed skin can hold pigment differently from untouched skin: in some areas it takes well, in others it fades faster. This is one reason the second session is part of the plan, and why the result is checked once the skin has fully settled.

Many clients come to us at the end of a long medical journey. We keep the process simple: a private consultation where you can ask anything, a design you approve before anything starts, and a session at a pace that feels comfortable.
Reconstructed breasts often have little or no sensation, and the skin can be thinner or tighter than usual. That affects how pigment settles, which is why the first session is deliberately conservative and the top-up is where colour and depth are refined.
If only one side needs work, the colour and size are matched to the other areola. If both sides are being created, we choose a size and colour that suit your body and skin tone, and you can bring photos as a reference.
